Confidence or Cockiness?

A confident woman can be spotted the minute she walks in a room.  She shows her personal power and her self-respect.  "Pretty" or not, that's irrelevant, because she knows she is.  All women are beautiful in they're own right.  A confident woman is proud of who she is and where she came from.  She has the courage to stand up for what she believes in.  As Wonderful Women, we need confidence with where we are in our life, careers, relationships, body-wise, and health-wise.  If you don't love and accept yourself right here, right now it doesn't matter what beauty tip you apply; you will always be missing something.   And that's confidence, but remember confidence is a powerful trait.  We sometimes become so confident that it turns into cockiness.  We all know that cocky woman or maybe that woman is you.  The person who knows everything, the person whose always right about any and everything, and the person who never asks for help.  I think that we should be comfortable with the fact that you can never know everything there is to know.  We should strive to learn more while realizing that we won't ever know everything.   Sometimes we believe that admitting we're wrong can somehow chip away at our level of confidence, but the truth is;  being clear about what you know and what you don't know can be liberating and it's usually appreciated by others.  When we become cocky rather than confident, it becomes so hard for us to ask for help.
I think the number one reason why people don’t ask for help is fear.   Fear that people will judge them for asking for help, fear that asking for help is a sign of weakness and/or a sense of giving up control.  It's OK to be confident but there is a thin line between being confident and being cocky.  No one likes a know it all or someone who doesn't listen because they believe they have nothing to learn.  Confidence requires focusing on what you're good at, admit your weaknesses and let yourself be yourself in each situation.  Be honest, be humble, be sincere, be wrong, and don't be afraid to ask for help, its not a sign of weakness but a sign of maturity and wisdom.  Wonderful Women let's stay focused and transform our cockiness into confidence by trusting our own decisions and instincts.  Let's go Wonderful Woman......confidence is sexy!!!

What a Wonderful Woman you are, Flaws and all!

I was going though my messages this morning and I came across a beautiful text my sister-in-law sent me a couple of weeks ago.  It made me think about all the things that we as women do to make ourselves "beautiful" on the outside.  We sometimes forget about our inner beauty, our motherly image, and we tend to focus too much on a man's opinion of our beauty.  I know, I know, not all of us, but all of us knows a least one person who does.  So, I would like to share this with you and you can share it with those women or woman who maybe has sometimes over looked their inner beauty, motherly image, and/or who has focused too much on a man's opinion.

Here is what my sister-in-law sent me:

The beauty of a woman is not seen through what she wears.  It is seen through how she carries herself and the way she doesn't allow herself to settle.  Don't ever let anyone take for granted the beauty that is within you.  Stand firm and KNOW that your a Wonderful Woman.  Always remember your value and respect yourself.  Sometimes we all need to be reminded how special we really are!

I found these next pieces after a little research (Surfing! Lol) Very interesting though.

We have to display our motherly image more often than you think because someone is always watching........our children!

The Images of Mother
4 YEARS OF AGE ~ My Mommy can do anything!
8 YEARS OF AGE ~ My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!
12 YEARS OF AGE ~ My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.
14 YEARS OF AGE ~ Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.
16 YEARS OF AGE ~ Mother? She's hopelessly old-fashioned.
18 YEARS OF AGE ~ That old woman? She's way out of date!
25 YEARS OF AGE ~ Well, she might know a little bit about it.
35 YEARS OF AGE ~ Before we decide, let's get Mom's opinion.
45 YEARS OF AGE ~ Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?
65 YEARS OF AGE ~ Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

Why do we focus so much on what he thinks about us, its clear we don't think alike:

"Woman without her man..."
An English professor wrote the words, "Woman without her man is nothing," on the blackboard and directed the students to punctuate it correctly.

The men wrote: "Woman, without her man, is nothing."

The women wrote:  "Woman! Without her, man is nothing."

Unconditional Love.....We All Want It!

Yeah, we all want it, but do we really know what it means to love unconditionally?  Seriously, we wanna be in love, we wanna be loved,we long for love and will go to great lengths to have it in our lives,  but most of us don't even know where to begin.  Unconditional love is not the feeling we get from being entertained or making people do what we want.  It doesn’t go away when circumstances are difficult. It survives and even grows during hardship and struggle.  True story, I was at the market today and I overheard a young lady on her cell phone telling someone that she was finally ready for love.  "I know exactly what I want now", she said.  "I know the kind of person I want to be in love with and what qualities he should have. I just gotta find him"!  "Good luck", I said to myself!  You can't hold on to a "wish list", it does no good .  In fact, it ultimately prevents us from experiencing the unconditional love we seek. So get rid of any notions you might hold about how love should be.

"I'm so Happy"........Are You, Really?

Let's keep it real, we all want to be happy and we think happiness is the money, cars, clothes and all those other valuable possessions.  We work extra hard to try to obtain it all, but these things don't equal happiness in our lives.  Yes, are lives are much more nicer, but some of us are left unfulfilled, unsatisfied and unhappy. I believe that finding happiness is like finding yourself. You don't find happiness, you make happiness. You choose happiness.  I have to honestly admit that I have just begun to really find myself.  I mean, we all think we know what we want and whats going to make us happy, but until we realize that happiness is our own responsibility and happiness doesn't depend on who you are or what you have, then we'll never be truly happy.  Happiness depends solely on what you think.  It's funny how we block our own happiness by denying who we are.  We do this every time, when we do what we should over what we feel and we do this every time we act like we're someone whom we're not.  As I mentioned, I have just begun to truly find myself and find authentic happiness within.  First, I started to look at my situation and realized how blessed I really am. There are so many things we should be grateful for, but we often forget them. When you realize how blessed you are, you will certainly be happier.  Secondly, I had to know myself, You will be happier if you understand who you are. Thirdly, I stop comparing myself to others.  Comparing yourself to others won’t do you any good. You will either feel proud when you think your on top, or feel jealous and frustrated when you think you're below them. None of them brings true happiness. So stop comparing yourself to others and simply be your best.  And lastly, prayer, this has help me to calm my mind and get inner happiness. We don't have to front and be somebody else, just be you and accept you and your happiness will find you.   I'm a Happy Wonderful Woman!....how about you?
